As the end of the year is approaching fast it’s time to reflect on some of our favourite projects that the evo team have been fortunate enough to collaborate and be apart of. The reflection of these projects is not only to highlight the gorgeous results, but to underline the lessons we learnt from each one.
2025 has continued to provide us with the opportunity to build strong relationships with visionary designers, dedicated homeowners, and influential entrepreneurs. Creativity and design were meticulously developed alongside passionate clients and reminded us why we do what we do: to offer our hand in transforming unique spaces to life through thoughtful consultations and tile selection.
40 E, E Esplanade, Manly NSW 2095

Why we love this project
The space has a raw, lived-in feel with a carefully curated mix of textured walls and clean, structured tiling. The contrast between the aged plaster and the modern finishes creates a warm, inviting, and intentionally imperfect look common in modern European-inspired cafes or artisan delis.
The counter is clad in glossy forest green square tiles, which give a fresh, clean, yet classic look. The green tiles are paired with natural wood cabinetry and shelving, grounding the space and adding warmth. A backsplash of the same green tiles is used behind the counter, framed by cured meats and shelves with product displays, giving it a traditional deli aesthetic. The use of natural light and open sight lines between rooms gives the space a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere.
This Space Feels:
Curated but not over-designed
Authentic, blending old-world textures with modern styling choices
Perfectly suited to small batch food, coffee, or deli offerings
What Lesson did we learn?
This project beautifully demonstrates the power of contrast between refined finishes and raw surfaces. The combination of deep green gloss tiles with the rustic, unfinished plaster walls creates a striking balance between polish and patina, old and new.

Why we love this project
This bathroom strikes the perfect balance between modern minimalism and that warm, lived-in style. The patterned floor tiles add personality and artistry while the brass fittings and timber vanity bring a touch of natural warmth. It’s a beautiful example of how thoughtful design can make a practical space feel luxurious and inviting. It’s a long, narrow space with a walk-in shower at the far end, separated by a clear glass screen, giving the room an open feel.
The standout feature is the patterned floor tiles decorated with a starburst or floral motif in shades of blue, gold, and white adding a touch of character and warmth. There’s a slim, horizontal light fixture above the mirror and recessed ceiling lighting, both contributing to an even, soft illumination.
This Space Feels:
Bright, refreshing, and spa-like
Grounded with organic textures.
Calm but character-filled with crisp white walls, soft grey subway tiles, and intricate patterned flooring.
Timeless and cohesive with a perfect balance of bold elements with warm wood and soft lighting.
What Lesson did we learn?
Don’t be afraid to combine texture and pattern in a minimalist space. A statement tile can completely transform a clean, neutral bathroom, adding depth and personality without overwhelming the design.

Why we love this project
This bathroom captures the essence of natural luxury where raw materials meet modern simplicity. The combination of pebble feature tiles, matte black fittings, and a handcrafted basin creates a stunning organic contrast. The timber vanity adds warmth and texture, while the skylight floods the space with natural light, giving it an open, spa-like atmosphere. Every detail feels intentional and beautifully balanced
This Space Feels:
Earthy, calm, and refreshing.
Grounded and tranquil with soft tones of stone and timber paired with lush greenery and subtle texture.
Connected to nature. A quiet retreat where you can slow down and breathe.
What Lesson did we learn?
Natural materials bring soul to modern design. Mixing textures like timber, stone, and matte black metals adds depth and warmth to a minimalist space.

Why we love this project
This bathroom duo perfectly balances warmth and sophistication through its clever use of color, texture, and form. The pairing of blush-toned vertical tiles with soft grey stone creates a visual dialogue that feels both modern and timeless. The rounded mirrors and vessel basins add sculptural softness, while brushed brass fixtures bring a touch of understated luxury. Every detail, from the slim grout lines to the neatly folded textiles, speaks to calm precision and thoughtful design.
This Space Feels:
Inviting yet elevated.
Serene atmosphere of warm blush hues with cool grey stone.
Grounded and nurturing with smooth, clean lines of the cabinetry and the organic stone textures.
What Lesson did we learn?
Mixing warm and cool tones can create a deeply harmonious space when balanced through texture and proportion. The vertical peach tiles introduce warmth and intimacy, while the grey stone grounds the palette in natural elegance
As we look back on some of our favourite projects from the year, one thing stands out, great design is all about balance. Whether it’s the harmony between warm blush tones and cool stone textures, or the bold pairing of glossy tiles with raw, imperfect surfaces, every space has reminded us that contrast creates character.
This year has taught us that tiles aren’t just finishing touches they’re the foundation for atmosphere and emotion. From serene bathrooms that feel like retreats to vibrant commercial spaces full of texture and life, we’ve seen how thoughtful design choices can completely transform how a space feels and functions.
Here’s to another year of creativity, collaboration, and learning. Evo can not wait to continue to explore the endless possibilities of tile, texture, and tone to create spaces that feel beautifully lived in.
